Spring classes start Sunday, March 31^th

at Studio B, West 8th & Charnelton above Brenners

· Eight week session at Studio B

· Beginner dancer lessons: 5-6 pm.

· Beyond Beginner (for the more advancer dancer) lesson: 6-7 pm.

New 2008 !

Thursday Practices at Studio B from 6-8pm.

· Cost: free to those taking the Sunday night classes or $2 for Drop-in fee.

Information for those new to LezDance

Dear future Lez-Dancer,

Hi. My name is Laura Stockford, and I am the registration coordinator for new students. Welcome to the LezDance blog site.

We offer two levels of classes:

New Beginners is for those who have little or no experience with ballroom dancing, or who want a refresher course.

Beyond Beginners is for those with more experience with ballroom dance.

Things you need to know:

You do not need to bring a dance partner.

You will need a pair of soft-soled shoes to dance in. Any leather or suede-soled shoes will do the job (some women have started in just socks). In order to protect the surface of the dance floor, please be sure to clean off the soles of your shoes.

I would also suggest bringing a bottle of water.

Consider wearing two layers of comfortable clothing. The studio feels a little chilly at the start, but it's comfortable once you've worked up a sweat!

History

LezDance Ballroom was founded several years ago by a group of women who loved to dance. This past year had over 40 new women dancers. It's a great way to learn to dance and meet new friends.
